TELUS INTERNATIONAL PHILIPPINES

I just received a comment from one of our colleagues asking me why didn't I include Telus Philippines in my directory. Actually, I tend to include them, but I just moved in to another company which diffused all my time for this blog. It's a different environment and has a totally different culture compared to where I came from. It amazed me to realize that somewhere within this vast industry, there still exist a call center with no politics. They mean what they say and what you read and heard is just what you are going to get. Your appreciation of the company will always depend on your values, of course. And I am going to tell more about my current employer on my future posts. But for now, here's Telus Philippines as requested by Pearlyjeanne.

Hi! Email me at sybillofdkings@gmail.com and I'll tell you about a call center company where politics is a strange word.

The main thing is call centers is to focus on customer service and quality. call center is due to a combination of current technology, smart committed and well trained work force, and our unrelenting focus on the success of the client’s objectives

no politics?

not true - there is no such dream world.

i can attest to this and i've been with TI even before it became TI (used to be called Ambergris Solutions)

i have been thrice denied of the role i applied for - and mind you...i have given birth to numerous TLs QAs and Trainers who trained under my guidance.

they even had a fabricated application period just so that it looks like there's competition.

low pay per industry standards. if you're looking to secure your finances and career growth...

...stay away from TELUS International

Sorry..you got me wrong. I wasn't talking about Telus. What I said was: I moved in to another compay that seem to have no politics. But I am not and never was employed by Telus. Telus was requested by one of the blog's followers to be included among the lists of call centers here in the Philippines.

Hi Sybill!

You see I've been a full time housewife and a mother of four for 13 years and this time I wanted to try a new career in this industry.Do you think there's still a company that would hire me?
I'm already 33 years of age and didn't finish my nursing course plus no experience of working except at Jollibee as an operator when I was in College.
I really need a job, where do you think I could apply?
I like to apply at telus... do I have a chance? what do you think.... THANKS

Hi meamorjoan!

I started my career in the call center industry when I was 39 years old without any work experience for 11 years prior to that. I was a plain mom and plain housewife. Check this link to see how I went thru my experience when I was applying for a job the first time.

Ways to Influence People Online and Make Them Take Action
Influence can be defined as the power exerted over the minds and behavior of others. A power that can affect, persuade and cause changes to someone or something. In order to influence people, you first need to discover what is already influencing them. What makes them tick? What do they care about? We need some leverage to work with when we’re trying to change how people think and behave.

Hi Jared!
I haven't heard or seen any call center here in Manila that accept OJT's. But as long as you're 18 yrs of age and has completed 2nd yr of college, you should be considered. Hope this helps!
